The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) on Monday handed over a container clinic to the people of Grünau.
PDM parliamentarian Elma Dienda said the handing over of the fully fledged container clinic to the people of Grünau, situated west of Karasburg in the //Karas region, was in line with the party’s 2019 and 2020 election manifestos, which included the goal of having a clinic in each constituency.
Through the project, the PDM aims to bring healthcare closer to Namibia’s people, Dienda said.
Dienda encouraged residents of Grünau to make use of the clinic for their medical needs.
The PDM also called on civil society in Namibia as well as the business sector to meet the government halfway through similar interventions, particularly with regard to bridging the challenges citizens face in getting access to healthcare.
