Badr Benoun returns to Al Ahly squad ahead of crucial Al Masry clash

Pitso Mosimane has released his 22-man squad set to face Al Masry, which saw the return of Moroccan center back Badr Benoun.

Al Ahly will need a win against Al Masry to keep their hopes of winning the league title alive. The Reds are four points behind leaders Zamalek with just three games left before the end of the season.

Mosimane will be without the Egyptian Premier League’s top scorer Mohamed Sherif (19), who sustained a hamstring injury against Ismaily.

On the other hand, they were given a double boost as the squad saw the return of center back Badr Benoun, who has now fully recovered from COVID-19.

The game will be held at the Alexandria Stadium next Friday, August 20 at 9pm Cairo local time.

Defenders: Ayman Ashraf, Mohamed Hany, Yasser Ibrahim, Rami Rabia, Mahmoud Wahid, Ali Maaloul, Badr Benoun.

Forwards: Marwan Mohsen, Salah Mohsen and Walter Bwalya.
